Adam Scott cast in Sony’s upcoming ‘Madame Web’ movie

‘Madame Web’ continues to weave an impressive casting list.

The big casting news for Madame Web just keeps coming. On Friday, Justin Kroll of Deadline exclusively revealed that Adam Scott has been cast in Sony’s live-action Spider-Verse film. This comes less than three weeks after it was announced that Emma Roberts will have a major role in the movie, as well.

Adam Scott as Ben Wyatt on Parks and Recreation (NBC)

While we all know Scott from his role as Ben Wyatt on Parks and Recreation, he’s had a long and successful career in both film and television. Scott also recently scored a Best Actor Emmy nomination for his role as Mark Scout on Severance.

As for what role he’ll play in Madame Web, your guess is as good as mine. At this point, we’re still trying to figure out which version of the Madame Web character Dakota Johnson is going to play.

Scott has fantastic range, so he could be a good guy, a villain, or something in between. Whatever the case, his addition to the already well-stacked cast is another reason to provide Sony a chance to redeem itself for Morbius.
