It was announced yesterday that Joker 2, or Joker: Folie à deux, will be released on October 4, 2024, and today, Lady Gaga got in on the fun. It was a rumor Lady Gaga would be co-starring with Joaquin Phoenix, but given her post, it’s now certain she’s in the movie.
Now, whether or not she’s playing Harley Quinn is another story. She does appear to have hearts on her cheeks which would suggest she’s going for a clown theme, though.
It’s also not yet confirmed if the film will be a musical, another rumor going around. Considering that rumor was being shared around the same time Lady Gaga was rumored to co-star on might assume that’s true as well.
Little is known about Joker 2, save for Todd Phillips returning as director and co-writing the screenplay with Scott Silver.
