Welcome back to another edition of Fantastic Five, where we give props to the best comics of the week! This week was a varied one, as four publishers landed spots in the top five – four of them are also #1 issues, as well. It was also a particularly exemplary week as three issues scored a perfect 10. Let’s take a look at the books!
#5: Star Trek: Defiant #1
Star Trek: Defiant will make you excited for more IDW Star Trek comics, period. The motley crew is established in this first issue, which promises plenty of drama between the characters as they attempt to save the universe and maybe even themselves.

#4: Danger Street #4
Danger Street #4 continues to deliver modern and mature superhero comics you rarely see. This is the narrative you show someone who makes fun of comics, not because it’s adult, but because it’s nuanced and takes every scene very seriously.

#3: The Forged #1

#2: Hellcat #1

#1: Superman: Lost #1
Priest, Pagulayan, Paz, and Cox unite as a tremendous force, crafting a beautiful story that tests Lois and Clark’s relationship while showing fans how wild their world can be. A Superman shaken to his core and estranged from his wife seems to be a welcoming story for the Man of Tomorrow.
