Courtesy of Marvel Comics, AIPT can reveal Luciano Vecchio’s special third printing cover for Spider-Man #7. Why is the issue so coveted? Why it’s the first appearance of Spider-Boy, of course. It’s also crafted by Spider-Man legends Dan Slott and Mark Bagley, so there is no surprise there.
If you missed out or want to pick up the slick third printing cover, you can find it in comic shops on July 12th.
So who is Spider-Boy? Slott said back in May, “The all-new, all-different Spider-Boy of the 616: He’s got strange new spider-powers, secret ties to dark corners of Spider-Man lore, and a story that’s all his own… that is right about to begin!”
We’re getting a whole lot more info on Spider-Boy soon, as Marvel has stated his origin will be revealed in Edge of Spider-Verse #3, which will detail his origin and feature art by Humberto Ramos. We keep getting new glimpses of him, but soon we’ll know all. That issue comes out on June 21st.
