We all knew it was coming, as Marvel Comics revealed today a slew of one-shot tie-ins and limited series, all building off the summer event Blood Hunt. The main series is written by Jed MacKay with art by Pepe Larraz and Marte Gracia, running five issues, and it appears there will be eight limited series, six one-shots, and seven series tie-ins. We also know there will be some awesome variant covers sporting foil technology! By my math, that’s 27 comics involved in the event.
So what’s Blood Hunt about?
The skies have gone dark, the sun hiding its face from the carnage to come. The children of the night, the vampires, have risen from the dark and hidden places of the world as one to drown the Marvel Universe in blood. Earth’s final night has fallen – can even the heroes of this doomed world stem the tide of blood that is to come? Join the Avengers, Blade, Bloodline, Spider-Man, Hunter’s Moon, Tigra, Doctor Strange and Clea as the dance of death begins.
