After its reveal at New York Comic Con, Dynamite Entertainment and Warner Bros. Discovery Global Consumer Products have shared new details about the long-awaited return of Ben 10 to comic shops this May.
The franchise’s original creators, Man of Action Entertainment, are reuniting for the new series. Joe Casey, Joe Kelly, Duncan Rouleau, and Steven T. Seagle began their careers in comics before forming the creative collective behind Ben 10. Over the years, they have also worked on major properties, including Superman, Spider-Man, and helped create Big Hero 6. In fact, don’t miss our ongoing interview series with Joe Kelly!
Now they are returning to the universe that launched a global phenomenon.
The series opens with an arc written by Joe Casey and illustrated by Robert Carey. Casey brings decades of experience from titles such as WildC.A.T.s, Superman, X-Men, Avengers, Gødland, and, more recently, Jonny Quest and Space Ghost. Carey’s credits include James Bond and Jennifer Blood. As the series continues, Kelly, Rouleau, and Seagle will each step in to script future arcs, with additional details to be announced.
Casey’s opening storyline reintroduces Ben Tennyson with a refreshed origin that sharpens the action and updates the concept for today’s readers. Longtime fans and newcomers alike will find a modernized take on the boy who discovers the Omnitrix after a mysterious meteor crash during a family camping trip. The new version expands the scope of that pivotal moment, exploring wider consequences that include military involvement and a growing alien threat. The series aims to build its mythology gradually through accessible story arcs while drawing from every era of Ben 10, reworking fan-favorite villains and elements into a cohesive new continuity.
“As original creators of the entire Ben 10 phenomenon, this comic book is a huge deal for us,” said Casey. “We’re committed to delivering everything fans could want, pulling from every incarnation and pushing it forward.”

Ben 10 #1 arrives May 6 with a lineup of variant covers reflecting the collaborative spirit of the franchise. Robert Carey, Duncan Rouleau, Dustin Nguyen, Sebastian Piriz, and Eric Canete all contribute covers. A mystery blind bag edition will feature a randomly selected limited cover available only through that format. Fans can also pick up a Blank Authentix edition for custom sketches and convention commissions.
