Album art and tracklist from Kendrick Lamar’s ‘Black Panther: The Album’ soundtrack revealed

You thought you were stupid excited before? Check out the album art and tracklist for the Black Panther movie soundtrack and get back to us.

We’re about as hyped for the Kendrick Lamar-curated Black Panther: The Album as we are for the movie itself — and that’s saying a lot. K.Dot took to Twitter today to show off both the album’s enigmatic T’Challa claw pendant necklace-flossing cover and the full tracklist/participating artists:

Tracklist:

BLACK PANTHER – Kendrick Lamar

ALL THE STARS – Kendrick Lamar & SZA

X – ScHoolboy Q, 2 Chainz & Saudi

THE WAYS – Khalid & Swae Lee

OPPS – Vince Staples & Yugen Blakrok

I AM – Jorja Smith

PARAMEDIC! – Sob X RBE

BLOODY WATERS – Ab-soul, Anderson Paak & James Blake

KING’S DEAD – Jay Rock, Kendrick Lamar, Future & James Blake

REDEMPTION INTERLUDE

REDEMPTION – Zacari & Babes Wodumo

SEASONS – Mozzy, Sjava & Reason

BIG SHOT – Kendrick Lamar & Travis Scott

PRAY FOR ME – The Weeknd & Kendrick Lamar

Although the exclusion of “Legend Has It” by Run the Jewels, heard in the first Black Panther trailer is a bit disappointing, the record still boasts more than a few artists that have us ready to head nod.

Schoolboy Q? Anderson Paak? A sure-to-be smooth ditty from Khalid & Swae Lee? The Weekend x Kendrick Lamar? All signs are pointing towards Black Panther: The Album being a worthy companion to the film and then some; the album drops on February 9th on digital formats and February 16th for physicals.
