‘The Last of Us Part II’ delayed indefinitely

‘Logistically, the global crisis is preventing us from providing the launch experience our players deserve.’

The Last of Us Part II is delayed indefinitely, with no new release date set, Sony announced today on Twitter.

“[Sony Interactive Entertainment] has made the difficult decision to delay the launch of The Last of Us Part II and Marvel’s Iron Man VR until further notice,” the company announced. “Logistically, the global crisis is preventing us from providing the launch experience our players deserve.”

This is the second time the highly-anticipated sequel has been delayed. Its release date was pushed back from February to May 29 back in October to give developer Naughty Dog more time to polish and release the game to their standards. But now, with countless forms of media and entertainment delayed due to COVID-19, it’s unknown when or even whether the game will come out on PS4.
