The Sundance Film Festival sees a slate of interesting documentaries come to the event every year. Filmmakers from around the world have shown their works at the fest. This year is no different. The lineup includes some very interesting releases. The Most Beautiful Boy in the World is a documentary about Bjorn Andrésen. Director Luchino Visconti declared Andrésen the “world’s most beautiful boy” at the Cannes premiere of Death in Venice, a movie in which he starred.
The documentary uses archival footage and interviews to discuss the trappings of young fame and the consequences of them. The film is topical considering how quickly younger people are finding celebrity on through modern avenues such as social media. A trailer was released today ahead of The Most Beautiful Boy in the World’s Sundance premiere this Friday.
The Sundance Film Festival is online January 28- February 3. Tickets and a full lineup can be found here.
