Kickstarter backers of the Mike Mignola: Drawing Monsters documentary can get even more excited as today AIPT can exclusively reveal a new illustration by David Petersen has been added to the Hellboy Portfolio Print Set tier. You know Petersen’s work from Mouse Guard, and his new illustration is going to only increase the value of the Print Portfolio tier. Plus, those whose tier includes the Postcards will get a postcard featuring the B&W artwork from David Petersen’s Hellboy print.
Launched on Kickstarter on March 1st, the Mike Mignola: Drawing Monsters documentary has been so successful it has reached stretch goal territory. That’s $280,000+ worth of success and it’s still going strong. The project is the real deal, read my interview with the filmmakers behind the project for more information on the project.
David Petersen’s illustration features Hellboy looking quite thoughtful as he holds a few dragon rooster eggs. Oh, and do ogle this one for some time to take in the details.
See it for yourself below.
You can still back this project for 16 more days, and the Hellboy Portfolio Print Set tier will cost $395.
This is the second print to be unlocked with a stretch goal. Last week the campaign unlocked an 11th print–a Gabriel Bá print which you can view below.
That puts the total of prints at this tier to 12. Check out the remaining 10 prints below which feature art by Alex Maleev, Ben Stenbeck, Craig Rousseau, Duncan Fegredo, Laurence Campbell, Mike Mignola, Mike Norton, Paolo Rivera, and Tim Sale.
