Watch: Teaser trailer for ‘I Am’

Check out the trailer below.

I Am gives an idea of the direction filmmaking is headed. Shot entirely on an iPhone 7+, the teaser looks impressive. It is not the first film to be shot on an iPhone, but it does go to show how far the medium has gone. The minute long trailer does not give away too much about the plot, but it shows just enough to make it look interesting.

According to a short description of the I Am, it tells the story of “what it would be like to have a clone of yourself”. Even with lavish production values, this is a difficult premise to get across well. There is lots of room for plot holes and continuity errors. Director John Cunnigham’s film looks very impressive. It is just a matter of having a story that matches up to its impressive visuals.

Currently, there is not release date for the film, but Cunningham hopes to have things finished by this summer.
