Today, Marvel Comics has announced Donny Cates and Ryan Ottley will be taking on the new ongoing Hulk series this November. Ottley will be joined by Frank Martin on colors who also worked on Venom.
“Marvel just gave me the keys to the strongest one there is,” Cates said in a statement. “Haha… oh boy. You guys are just not ready for this. You’re about to find out what happens when Ryan Ottley and I get angry… and guess what? Well… pretty sure you’re gonna like us a lot when we’re angry.”

This unstoppable team of some of the industry’s greatest talent will helm a bold new era of Hulk that begins when Bruce Banner discovers a radical way to control the monster within. Could this mark the final end of the Green Goliath? Or will the extreme solution create something new—with massive consequences? Back in January, Marvel revealed Venom #200 was Donny Cates and Ryan Stegman’s last issue of the long-running and beloved series. Marvel gave us a taste of that issue a few weeks ago, which looks to wrap up their epic while also revisiting big moments. Earlier today, Marvel revealed Ram V., Al Ewing, and Bryan Hitch would be taking over Venom this fall.
Cates was teasing the news earlier today as many fans were asking him via Twitter when we’d find out what comic series he’d be taking on. Clearly, it was a blast:
