NieR: Automata The End of YoRHa edition (10/6)
NieR: Automata makes its long-awaited arrival on the Nintendo Switch with The End of YoRHa edition. NieR: Automata is an action RPG that became a surprise hit for publisher Square Enix after endearing itself to fans. The Switch release will include all previously released DLC as well as some Switch-exclusive costumes. Now that NieR: Automata is playable on all platforms, it’s gotta be time for a sequel, right?
No Man’s Sky (10/7)
Switch owners have a joyful week ahead as No Man’s Sky also arrives on Nintendo Switch. Players will be able to explore the procedurally-generated galaxy at home or on the go, and will be able to enjoy all 20 updates Hello Games have released for No Man’s Sky over the years, transforming it from disaster to darling. It’ll retail digitally and physically for $59.99, and releases physically for the PlayStation 5 the same day.
Overwatch 2 (10/4)
“It’s the dawn of a new era,” reads the tagline for Overwatch 2. The sequel to 2016’s smash hit enters this new era by going free-to-play, meaning anyone with an internet connection can dive right in tomorrow morning without paying a thing. Overwatch 2 boasts 35 heroes, 22 maps, and 6 distinct game modes, and changes up the first game’s formula by eliminating the role of the “tank” and reducing team size from six to five players. Permanent PVE (player versus enemy) missions and cross-play will also be included in the sequel.
