Joe Quesada comments on the possibility of the ‘Daredevil’ television series being born again, at NYCC19

Resurrection is key to the character ….

Marvel Chief Creative Officer Joe Quesada dropped a bombshell on the assembled New York Comic Con 2019 crowd at his traditional “Cup O’ Joe” panel today. He aroused everyone’s interested by invoking the name of Charlie Cox, who had previously been a guest on the panel, and then introduced the man he called his “antithesis,” Vincent D’Onofrio, who played Wilson Fisk in three seasons of the Marvel and Netflix television series Daredevil.

But was that the only shocker Quesada had in store?

One of the first questions asked by an audience member after the panel was from someone who identified herself as part of Team #SaveDaredevil, an online movement to resurrect the canceled show. She acknowledged that she knew the pair couldn’t really say anything, but was there even a tidbit of news they could share on if it would ever happen or not?

“I actually don’t know anything,” Vincent D’Onofrio said with a sigh of relief, as he wouldn’t be able to play spoiler. “Actors are always the last to know.”

“First of all, [I] love you guys,” Quesada started. He said he’d never seen a fandom come together the way they had in all his time at Marvel, but still, nothing could be said at the moment.

“When there’s something to say, if there’s something to say, you’ll be the first to know,” Quesada said.
