Sneak peek of The Walking Dead season finale reveals Maggie’s return

Lauren Cohen makes her long awaited return.

Despite The Walking Dead‘s 10th season finale getting delayed, AMC still had enough filmed to give us a preview featuring the highly anticipated return of Lauren Cohan as Maggie.

We’ve known for a while that she would be coming back, but it looks like she might be playing a part in helping her former crew fight off Beta’s new army. In an interview with EW, showrunner Angela Kang also confirmed that we’ll get to see where Maggie has been hiding out the last few years.

As excited as I am to have one of my all time favorite characters return to the show, it makes Danai Gurira’s recent departure even more painful. Barring an unexpected return by Michonne, we might never get to discover why she and Maggie disliked each other so much after the time jump — or worse, we may have to learn about it through a lengthy exposition dump.

That being said, it’s still great to have Maggie Rhee back with our team of survivors.
