The recently concluded Fantasia Film Festival saw some of the most interesting films of the year. Along with animated films and horror, the fest also was home to some fascinating documentaries. Subjects ranged from the making of movies to feminist pornography.
One of the best to screen was Hail to the Deadites which made its world premiere at Fantasia. The film is a loving look at fans of the Evil Dead franchise. The documentary ended up winning the Bronze Audience Award at Fantasia. A new trailer and festival poster were released as the documentary gets ready for a slate of festivals in October.
