Marvel teases even more ‘Heroes Reborn’ for 2021

Is ‘Heroes Reborn’ another go at ‘Infinity Warps’ or something more?

Yesterday Marvel Comics teased Heroes Reborn was returning in 2021 and new imagery has been released to further reveal what this series might be about. Editor in Chief C.B. Cebulski tweeted out various teaser art with what appears to be character mashups that’ll appear in the event. Specific artists were not named as to who drew each piece as each Tweet was sent with only “#MarvelHeroesReborn 2021” for context. The original Heroes Reborn was hugely popular at the time since it brought Jim Lee and Rob Liefeld back to Marvel Comics after they left to form Image Comics.

AIPT writers took to Discord to discuss what it could mean, with some asking if it was another play on Infinity Warps. Marvel fans will note Infinity Warps is a series of superhero mashups kickstarted by Gerry Duggan’s Infinity Wars event back in 2018.

The first image tweeted appears to be a mashup of Jean Grey and Scarlet Witch.

This was followed up with a Doctor Doom and Juggernaut mashup.

Editor Tom Brevoort then shared an image of what appears to be Mr. Fantastic and Nick Fury.

Possibly the most curious was an image of what appears to be Peter Parker and a person jumping away wearing green boots. This one was tweeted by the official Spider-Man Twitter account.

So what does it all mean? Likely we’ll find out in short order from the Marvel Comics PR department! Stay tuned to AIPT for more on this developing story.
